How Does Someone Check A Free Credit Score Report?

  1. Well, you’re talking about two different things here, your credit report, and your credit score.
You can get your free credit report once per year from each of the three main credit reporting bureaus (Experian, Transunion, and Equifax). If you want to get it from all 3 places easily, you can check out http://www.annualcreditreport.com, which is sponsored by the FTC. Your credit report contains a lot of information concerning your credit, including any credit accounts you have open, your payment history for those accounts, any current balances for those accounts, and records of people who have checked your credit (for example when you applied for a credit card or something similar).
Your credit score (or FICO score) is a number between 300 and 850 which is based on a statistical analysis of your credit report information. As far as I know there’s no place you can get your credit score for free.

It’s a ripoff !! I got a “free” report several years ago. Of course to give you a report they need your credit card #. Next thing I know they’re banging my charge card $19.95 a month for the “free” report. My CC company actually got them to reverse the charges since they were using false advertising. Now, if you listen to the ads, they say the free report comes with enrollment in their protection program.
    BE CAREFUL !

  3. Well I married my dream girl
    I married my dream girl
But she didn’t tell me her credit was bad
So now instead of living in a pleasant suburb
We’re living in the basement at her mom and dad’s.
No we can’t get a loan
    For a respectable home
Just because my girl defaulted on an old credit card
If we’d gone to free credit report dot com
I’d be a happy bachelor with a dog and a yard.
