    Wow… I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many incorrect answers in one place.
    The right website to use is http://www.annualcreditreport.com. That’s the official website provided by the 3 credit bureaus, as mandated by the U.S. government.
    Freecreditreport.com requires you to sign up for a service, which you have to pay for after a short trial period. In other words, it’s NOT free.

  4. by law the credit bureaus are all supposed to give you one free report each year if you ask them. contact them directly or through annualcreditreport.com. all the other so-called free sites are scams. yes, even freecreditreport.com. they rope you in then try to sell credit monitoring services.

  6. there is no such thing as a free credit report. even at freecreditreport.com u need to enroll in triple advantage for like a year before u can get ur free credit report. and im also pretty sure u need to put ur credit information if u want to get a credit report. so yea…

  7. There are 3 major credit companies. You call these to call if you think you have fraud on you. You can get a free report 1 time a year form them.
    1. Experian 800-583-4080
    2. transunion
    3. Equifax 888-873-5420
    call and get one from each place.
    IF YOU GO TO FREECREDITREPORT.COM, there is a fee.

  14. pretty much any site that you go to, you are going to have to put in certain information, like credit card numbers, social security numbers, drivers licence numbers, etc.
    You can get your credit report at the bank if you dont like doing it on the internet

  15. I just got one from freecreditreport.com a few weeks ago. Make sure to read if you get one and they ask for your credit card, a lot of them give you a trial membership and you need to cancel it or they’ll charge you.

  21. Go to each site(equifax, transunion, & experian) and there should be a link to access your free credit report online. However, I had to send off for my transunsion. All were free though.
