Why A Drop So Much In My Credit Score?

I have had a creidt score around 750 for the past four to five months. My credit balance monthly is usually between 200 and 600 with a limit of 2,700. That percentage is about roughly 8 to 23 percent. I had a few more expenses for school this last month and my balance was slightly over 1,000. I always pay off my balance in full as i did this last month. My score droped about 10 points from this last month citing my high balance as a negative factor. Why would i drop 10 freaking points from having a balance one month around 39% (still under 50) and paying it off in full.

I am 26 years old and have a debt of $1700. This is dating back from 2005. they are mostly doctor bills and I’m currently paying off my credit card that is deliquent. The doctor’s bills are all in collections. I know this debt isn’tmuch but is keeping me from doing a lot of things. I’m paying off the entire debt with my tax return. My question is…how long does it take for my credit score to raise after paying these off??

Sadly I am 25 years old and I’m desperatly trying to raise my score, which is currently 546. All credit cards are in collection. School loans are also in deferment. I also have $12,000 loan out on a car. I’m trying to raise my score a considerable amount in one year so that I can purchase a home. What can I do? No one will give me a credit card, not even a secured one. There are no mistakes on my credit report either. Seems like once you have bad credit your ruined for life. Does credit repair work given my situation?

Getting a free credit report is mandatory by law, getting ones credit SCORE is something else. YOU CAN”T sorry to say.
Some credit card companies offer a free credit score (but it is not really free, your paying interest) with your account but you only receive one score and that is usually off a bit. WAMU is one of the banks that offers a free credit score with your monthly statement.
Other wise, as the saying goes, nothing in life is free!

From whom do I get references? She said I should get one from a friend and another from someone whose older than me, both of whom should have known me for more than 10 years. But I’m confused since these are references for housing. I’m only 22 so I’ve only been living on my own in my apt for less than a year. Do I just ask a random friend for a reference saying I’m a decent person, or what? What the hell does that prove?
